Desire 2 Ride is happy to promote;

Springslade Lodge - Cyclists on Cannock Chase have benefitted from the excellent catering services of this establishment for 10 years.  It is a great tea room and more located right in the heart of the AONB.  See www.springsladelodge.co.uk

The Hand and Cleaver Pub - A warm welcome awaits all customers of the Hand and Cleaver Pub in Ranton about five mile to the west of Stafford.  This is a real gem of a Staffordshire country pub with a great menu of dishes for a wide range of tastes.  Don't just take our word for it though see it in the Michelin Eating Out in Pubs Guide 2010.  See www.handandcleaver.co.uk

Spiders Web Cafe - The Spiders Web Cafe on Sydnal Lane, Cosford lies just off the A41 (just west of Albrighton) and is eight miles north-west of Wolverhampton.  It is a brilliant retreat for the road cyclist with a host of quick snacks, bacon butties and big breakfasts on the menu.  Open 8.00am to 3.00pm it is rare not to find at least a few cyclists there and often whole clubs stop by.  You can't beat it for a stop on a Sunday morning.  We are proud to support the Spiders Web for its services to the road cyclist.

Mere Park Garden Centre - Stafford Road, Newport (just before the A518 crosses the A41).  The Garden Centre has a licensed restaurant open 7 days a week with a varied menu of hot and cold food - lots of coffee options and some fantastic cakes.  You can wonder around the Garden Centre which has a huge variety of plants and other products or drop into one of the many hobby and leisure interest outlets in the retail village.  See www.mereparkgardencentre.co.uk
Red Lion Farm - Haughton, about 4 miles west of Stafford.  An excellent menu of food and refreshment awaits you at Red Lion Farm.  Fantastic range of ice cream made on the premises available from the farm shop.
Aston Marina - Aston Lock off the Trent and Mersey Canal near Stone.  Access by road is directly off the A51 between Sandon and Stone.  Aston Marina is a superb new facility providing services to the canal boat owning community, the tourist and the local walking, cycling and car borne visitor.  For the road cyclist it has an excellent bistro serving a sophisticated menu as well as a wide range of coffees, teas and more simple snacks.  There are some superb places to rest up from the beach style cabanas to the terraced decking area over the lock.  There is even a farm shop with an extensive range of local produce available.
Norbury Junction - Norbury lies on the Shropshire Union Canal.  The most popular road access is from Gnosall Heath off the A518 (to Newport).  The road is the turn just before the Navigation Inn if travelling from Stafford.  There is a great cafe at Norbury Junction that attracts cyclists from a wide area.  It is a great place to relax and taking in the boating activity at the junction.
